Mothers

Basic Needs

Surviving vs Thriving

Mothers.

They’re the best.

Let us celebrate them

accordingly.

(May i recommend 1 Million Flowers?)

Basic Needs -

To me:

Food.

Water.

Warmth.

Safety.

Love.

Mead is love.

Family and Children.

Art and Music.

Play and Dance.

Nature.

Nurture.

All.

Love.

Good food is love. Healthy, tasty, healing to the earth.

Good water.

Crisp and clean,

from a natural,

crystal spring.

(Have you ever tasted it?)

Love of the earth, the skies, the rain.

Warmth -

Yes.

Love.

Safety -

Without it,

it is harder to love.

It took me years to see this truth and know.

Safety can begin inside us.

Without it there,

it is harder to love.

So maybe it all boils down to Love.

Ha.

I guess the Beatles said that before I was born.

And Jesus.

Buddha too.

And my mom.

She probably told it to me first.

And showed me in so many ways

that they all blend together

Making the foundation of my life.

The rest is detail to provide contrast.

If it’s not a hell yes,

it’s a gentle no thanks.

Surviving Vs. Thriving

Mmm.

Here’s the rub

One person’s pleasure

Is one person’s pain.

One person’s loss,

One person’s gain.

If we make it so.

What if we could switch it around?

Instead

All our activities

Make life and love grow.

To move focus

From

one surviving

To

All

Thriving.

It’s possible.

I am trying.

You are too.

(Otherwise, you wouldn’t be here)

What if instead of using the lowest common denominator

To define us

Consumer

We shift?

To the highest common denominator

Creator.

Creators of moments and memories filled with meaning.

Gifts created.

Love shared.

Moms create life.

And fill it with love.

Food, water, warmth, safety.

All

Love.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Let’s do it.

Love.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Cheers,

Frank
