What if, when you unfold, your world unfolds

What if, when you unfold, your world unfolds?

What if you were to move toward a life where you were engaged all the time in doing what you love?

Given that you are here, reading this, you probably are already doing what you love a lot of the time.

But what if all people were engaged in doing what they love all the time?

Working on things they love.

Spending time with people they love.

Eating food they love.

Living in places that they love.

Resting in ways they love.

In that schedule for the day above, there isn’t time nor space to intentionally cause suffering to others.  (If people love to make other people suffer, they’ve got some mental sanitation issues that they need to work through and that’s a topic to take up with professionals outside the mead business.)

And people wouldn’t put up with their own suffering because it would get in the way of them doing what they love.

Golden Coast Mead stands for this world. A world of people engaged in living lives defined by what they love.

Call it idealistic.  Call it entitled.

We are clear eyed that it takes work and thoughtfulness and communication to ground those ideals and make them available to all in the real world.

But we believe that it is possible.

It is possible because everyone has the capacity to experience their own joy.  And if they find it, and pursue it in right-relationship with others and the earth, there is room for everyone to follow their joy every day.

Love and joy, when tempered with respect and justice (right relationship), are limitless and self sustaining. Watch kids play at the beach. If they know how to play with others well, they will have things to do all day that are healthy and beautiful and good.

We love to create and share mead with people here.  We do it so that others can experience more connection in their lives. Connection with the bees, the flowers, the sun.  Connection with the ancient craft of mead making. Connection with the future that is full of joy and beauty and abundance. Connection with the moment.  The Now in which the people are drinking and enjoying this libation.

So, as we do that, we endeavor to connect them with the experience of joy. We want to help create that world where that joy is present every moment, where people pursue it and share it joyfully with others.

Thanks for making that world real. Keep it up. The world loves it when you do.
