Suggested donation is $15. Children under 18 are free!.
Sukkot is the Jewish Harvest Festival. During Sukkot, we build an outdoor hut called a Sukkah. The Sukkah harkens back to our traditional agricultural roots when farmers would build a small hut in their field during the peak of the harvest to sleep and eat in; they are also reminiscent of what the Israelites lived in as they wandered in the desert. Sukkot is a festival that encourages us to connect with nature, the land, and with one another as the Sukkah is an inviting and inclusive structure!
The afternoon will be filled with farm activities for the whole family, from pickling to building animal homes to natural art with educators from Coastal Roots,The Spice Way, Girl Next Door Honey, Jewish Initiative for Animals, PJ Library/Shalom Baby and more. We’ll have amazing live music by Lior Ben-Hur(reggae/world music); the ambrosia garden with Boochcraft, Golded Coast Mead, and Julian Hard Cider; plus vendors to purchase food, plants, fruit, and more.
