No Mono-culture required
Mead doesn't need huge mono-cultures of single crops to be produced on an industrial scale (unlike beer, wine and cider). Mead just needs bees pollinating healthy ecosystems and beekeepers paying attention. We hope that delightful, authentic mead can build a market for high quality, regenerative (think beyond sustainable) honey.
We hope to build that market by shifting the honey industry as we get big enough the way Patagonia Clothing shifted the cotton industry.
Beekeepers who make amazing honey on organic pasture using no chemicals in their hives will get premium prices for honey that will make premium meads.
People will get to enjoy it knowing they're supporting a craft that regenerates soil, incentivizes biodiversity, creates good jobs and builds the world they want to adventure in and enjoy.
